Dr. David M. Dressler is a 1964-graduate of The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine in Chicago, IL. His postgraduate training includes internship conducted at the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center (1964-1965), as well as his psychiatry residency at University of Rochester Strong Memorial Hospital (1965-1968). Fellowship-trained within the Department of Psychiatry at the Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, CT, Dr. Dressler is a Certified Jungian Analyst through the C.G. Jung Institute of New York (1992). He attained board certification in psychiatry with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). A Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, Dr. Dressler is a member of the Connecticut Psychiatric Society, the Connecticut Medical Society, and the New York Association of Analytic Psychology. Prior to medical school, he completed his BA degree in Chemistry at Reed College in Portland, OR (1960). Outside his psychiatry practice, he dedicates his spare time to traveling, swimming, playing golf, and reading.
